Tile inlay ideas can make a dramatic appearance at strategically placed areas. The idea is to incorporate a intricate design such as a medallion that blends perfectly into the rest of the floor. Tile layout is critical as the need for centering the design will have very little tolerances. A incorrectly laid out design will definitely take away and even cheapen the entire area. Plan on taking the extra time needed in fine tuning a tile inlay project. Tile layout will include not only the inlay design itself but the surrounding tile as well. Having a row of dark tiles will take away from the overall theme of what you're trying to design. A correctly laid out floor with inlays will look very clean and natural and draw your attention to the centerpiece first and then to it's surroundings.
