Slab Leaks are no fun. After the problem has been repaired, you are left with a lack of floor covering that was removed when the demolition process had begun. A tile floor has a couple different ways of putting the floor back together. If you happen to have extra tile stored away and just want a quick fix or a "patch job", then this may be the way to go. keep in mind that the end result will may have less than desirable results as it is very hard to accomplish a patch job leaving it look like it was never repaired.
Another approach is to remove all the existing flooring and replace with new. Any type of tile work over a repaired slab needs a few considerations. There may be a possible separation where the new concrete meets the original. A crack isolation membrane should be used to protect any possible movement from damaging the new tile. Ceramictilepro likes to use either a crack isolation membrane or a heavily modified thinset that can be applied over cracks up to 1/8" wide.
